From CFACT:
Alarmist spammer unleashes Twitterbot to stifle climate debate
An Australian software developer grew tired of debating climate realists on Twitter so he created spambot to wear down his opponents. The bot responds to anyone who expresses skepticism about man-made global warming by posting one of hundreds of canned replies in an attempt to frustrate skeptics.
Unlike many other peacemakers, I believe in exposing ratbags and manipulators. And this latest example - applauded in the warming alarmist camp - should tell you the ethical 'principles' followed by climate hoaxers. When you express an honest doubt about climate change, you expect, I would imagine, that replies to it should be as considered and honest as your own. But now you know that when "someone" answers your twitter to express a pro-alarmist view, it is probably not a real human being at all, just a spam computer program written with the aim of frustrating you.
So, ignore them or expose them for the benefit of others, as you please, but don't waste your time actually starting a sincere (on your part) discussion with them. Even if it does happen to be a real person, if they applaud and encourage wasting your time with spam, why bother?
